Early this week, Jim Dodi (Chapman University), presented his forecast for 2020. I found what he said to be interesting. What resonated with me was his perspective on the housing market here in California. He said we should not be so concerned with a shortage as the net loss of residents moving out of state is growing compounded by fewer people having babies. It will be interesting to see. In the meantime, he predicts house appreciation to gain 3.9% in 2020. OC Register Economic Forecast
